Interlude
"First things first, the nightmare you had was the making of Akasha, The Queen of Pain. During the Early days of the First War, the Scourge unleashed their newly discovered weapon-Akasha. She was a precocious prodigy and had abilities that suited her very well. She could release a fury of knives and manifest a sonic wave out of nothing. Along with Lion the demon witch, Rotund'jere the Necrolyte and lesale the Venomancer, she formed the backline of the Scourge. I clearly remember Travex and Rhasta discussing about the problems she could pose. There was this fear instilled in their hearts. However, things did not turn out as expected. Akasha screwed up and her comrades holding the backline followed suit. And so, the scourge were on the verge of losing the war until Leoric the Skeleton King salvaged the situation. That paramount creature sliced through our ranks with ease and nothing seemed to be able to stop him. Thankfully, lady luck smiled on us as our prayers were answered. Dominic the Rogueknight who normally fail to attain God's Strength suddenly acquired the skill. With his newly found power, the Rogueknight managed to keep the brute at bay. The war ended with none of the two sides being able to achieve victory as after Dominic defended Leoric's assaults successfully, the battle became stalemate. There were several reasons why the Scourge had a close encounter with defeat. The weak backline was one of them. The then ruler of the scourge Kel'Thuzad exiled Akasha to this place due to her being the patent weakness of the Scourge. Rumour has it that she managed to learn the art of hypnotism, Apparently, it did not work well." explained Jake in detail.
Koh nodded his head as he finally understood how the queen of pain came about. However, one question lingered on his mind and so he inquired. " Why did Akasha ask me to join the Scourge. I mean, the Scourge exiled her to this place and yet she's still so loyal to them. Don't you find it awkward?"
"That I do not know, Perhaps she holds the Scourge in high regard." answered Jake, the bounty hunter.
The fog was cleared; certain things concerning the Queen of Pain appeared much clearer to the lighting revenant. He then decided that they had to move on- enough time was wasted on the nightmares. Our heros trekked through the dense jungle and encountered many natural Obstacles like fallen trunks, mud pits, etc... However, this was nothing compared to what was in store for them. As Jake, Yewf and Koh were moving, they came across a huge wall blocking their path. The towering barricade stretched across the whole island and was made of steel. Koh tried to break it but to no avail; the wall was impregnable. As Yewf was born blind, he had long ago been trained to sense things around him. Masterfully, the Anti-Mage spotted a hidden concrete block on the ground. It read, " Those who wish to proceed beyond must answer the following riddle correctly." The riddle read, ' What is dark and made by light?" Yewf, Koh and Jake thought hard, unfortunately, they weren't geniuses in guessing riddles. Yewf suggested, " Could it be just the colour black? You can't see black in darkness and it can only be seen in light. So perhaps black is made by light?" Jake and Koh agreed to Yewf's suggestions as it seemed sensible. Without hesitation, Yewf shouted to the block, " My answer is the colour black."
All of a sudden, a hologram resembling Dracula appeared, " Im sorry. The correct answer is shadow. A perilous journey lies ahead of you. And, watch your feet. Goodbye." Instantaneously, the spectre disappeared and a hole formed on the ground they were standing on. Yewf, Koh and Jake then fell into the orifice and light seemed to be further and further away from them...
