Enter Khoo

A loud thud could be heard as our heros finally fell to the bottom of the seemingly neverending void. Darkness shrouded them in the instant before koh ignited his hand.

"Wow, that was a long fall, I even had time to take a nap." said Yewf. As if they had expected, Jake and Koh turned to face Yewf with their dull expressions. "Alright alright , I didn't take a nap. I was just describing the depth of this pit." explained Yewf. "You were exxagerating. Let us move on." suggested Jake.

"Which way?" asked Koh. Jake, Yewf and Koh had fallen onto a crossroad of some sort. There were no signs to state directions and the place the paths would lead to. Yewf used his inner senses to somehow decipher the right path but to no avail. In the end, they decided to follow Koh's decision as he held the only source of light that prevented the darkness from swallowing them. Even with windwalk(NO increased speed), Jake found it tough to keep up with the mercurial koh and impetuous Yewf. As both of them continued to flaunt their unmatched movement speed, an enormous object stopped jake in his tracks. Immediately, the bounty hunter called out for his comrades.

"Yewf! Koh! You guys should take a look at this!"

"Holy Hell, what in god's name is that?." exclaimed Yewf as he stared down at the carcass. It was an incredible sight to behold; a dead koo beast of huge stature. There were many wounds on the beast and they looked fresh. It seemed that the kodo beast died due to excessive loss of blood as even in the darkness, the creature looked a shade of white. The cut marks appeared to be inflicted by an Ursa Warrior as every one of them is deeper than the other.

"This must be the doing of the Tsukimonster, only a beast like it could have commited such a gruesome act. Only that shemale would kill an innocent creature. Guys, we must make haste before Maxine finds the cure and the Tsukimonster murder any more living things." suggested Yewf, the Anti-Mage. He was Right. The Tsukimonster looked and was beastly, though slightly small in stature, it possesses the uncanny abiltiy to tear through even the toughest of hides. The thirst for blood of the Tsukimonster could only be matched by the late dracula.

"Okay, Jake. Let us continue our journey. We need to locate the cure as soon as possible."proposed Koh. However compassionate Jake was, he reluctantly left the corpse and moved on. An hour into the Journey, our heros decided to stop for rest. Just then, a beast appeared in front of them. It bore a striking resemblance to the TsukiMonster.

"You Weaklings, I am the sibling of the all-powerful and almighty shemale, The TsukiMonsta!! I've been ordered to destroy you by her master , Maxine. I'm guessing it will be a walk in the park. You people are weak, I bet that kodo beast I killed is probably stronger than you guys." boomed the beast.

Angered by her statement, Jake threw a shuriken with such force that it dissected the head of the monster with amazing ease. Immediately, the creature fell to it's knees and on the ground. Right after the lusus naturae fell, mutated insects appeared in all directions.

One of them spoke," Ve art de Guardians of de retsnomikust. Joo Haf desloyed our mater. Vor Phat, Ve shalt avenge her and desloy Joo!!." Before the insect could move a muscle, it exploded into smithereens. The other insects followed suit. A ringing scream could be heard and a miniature being appeared from the darkness.

"Plus 1000 gold! YES! I've been trying to blast those pesky lil' insects. Finally did it! Thanks to you peeps. Well, I'm a goblin techies and I'm renowned for mining this area. You guys can count yourselves lucky as this crepuscule like environment conceals my mines really well. Nevertheless, Let me Re-introduce myself. My name is Khoo. The world's most "explosive" being, I make a living by blowing these bugs. For each feeler I collect, I earn 5 pieces of gold bars." said the miniscule being.

"Well well, I gotta thank you for your help. Oh yes, I'm Yewf, this is koh and the translucent guy is Jake. We are looking for a antidode for the bite of balanar's minions. Have you any idea how It looks like?" Inquired Yewf.

"Yeah, I've got an idea alright. It is actually a flower of some sort, Bright Yellow in colour. The flower is pretty distinct due to its abnormally large size. You'll probably find it in the valley of vampires which is approximately 5 Km away." explained Khoo.

"Would you mind if You joined us on this expedition? I mean you're pretty familiar with this island and I'm positive blowing up the tsukimonster will fetch you a price much higher than all the feelers here added together." said Yewf.

"The TsukiMonster? Wow, of course she's valuable. As a matter of fact, I've been tyring to locate that beast. Rumour has it that this shemale awakes once an annual from her hibernation. She then hunts for around a fortnight before going back to sleep." exclaimed Khoo.

"So, its a deal then? And where did Rumour come from?" asked the Anti-Mage.

"Well, follow me to the only city on ths island, the great metropolis of Kurast. There, I'll explain everything to you." said Khoo.

The Goblin Techies signalled for our heros to gather around him. He took up a scroll and threw it up in the air. Instantly, the scroll exploded and a blue circle with the inscriptions 'Scroll of Town Portal. $135 3 day warranty' hovered above them. Seconds later they vanished without a trace...

Interlude

"First things first, the nightmare you had was the making of Akasha, The Queen of Pain. During the Early days of the First War, the Scourge unleashed their newly discovered weapon-Akasha. She was a precocious prodigy and had abilities that suited her very well. She could release a fury of knives and manifest a sonic wave out of nothing. Along with Lion the demon witch, Rotund'jere the Necrolyte and lesale the Venomancer, she formed the backline of the Scourge. I clearly remember Travex and Rhasta discussing about the problems she could pose. There was this fear instilled in their hearts. However, things did not turn out as expected. Akasha screwed up and her comrades holding the backline followed suit. And so, the scourge were on the verge of losing the war until Leoric the Skeleton King salvaged the situation. That paramount creature sliced through our ranks with ease and nothing seemed to be able to stop him. Thankfully, lady luck smiled on us as our prayers were answered. Dominic the Rogueknight who normally fail to attain God's Strength suddenly acquired the skill. With his newly found power, the Rogueknight managed to keep the brute at bay. The war ended with none of the two sides being able to achieve victory as after Dominic defended Leoric's assaults successfully, the battle became stalemate. There were several reasons why the Scourge had a close encounter with defeat. The weak backline was one of them. The then ruler of the scourge Kel'Thuzad exiled Akasha to this place due to her being the patent weakness of the Scourge. Rumour has it that she managed to learn the art of hypnotism, Apparently, it did not work well." explained Jake in detail.

Koh nodded his head as he finally understood how the queen of pain came about. However, one question lingered on his mind and so he inquired. " Why did Akasha ask me to join the Scourge. I mean, the Scourge exiled her to this place and yet she's still so loyal to them. Don't you find it awkward?"

"That I do not know, Perhaps she holds the Scourge in high regard." answered Jake, the bounty hunter.

The fog was cleared; certain things concerning the Queen of Pain appeared much clearer to the lighting revenant. He then decided that they had to move on- enough time was wasted on the nightmares. Our heros trekked through the dense jungle and encountered many natural Obstacles like fallen trunks, mud pits, etc... However, this was nothing compared to what was in store for them. As Jake, Yewf and Koh were moving, they came across a huge wall blocking their path. The towering barricade stretched across the whole island and was made of steel. Koh tried to break it but to no avail; the wall was impregnable. As Yewf was born blind, he had long ago been trained to sense things around him. Masterfully, the Anti-Mage spotted a hidden concrete block on the ground. It read, " Those who wish to proceed beyond must answer the following riddle correctly." The riddle read, ' What is dark and made by light?" Yewf, Koh and Jake thought hard, unfortunately, they weren't geniuses in guessing riddles. Yewf suggested, " Could it be just the colour black? You can't see black in darkness and it can only be seen in light. So perhaps black is made by light?" Jake and Koh agreed to Yewf's suggestions as it seemed sensible. Without hesitation, Yewf shouted to the block, " My answer is the colour black."

All of a sudden, a hologram resembling Dracula appeared, " Im sorry. The correct answer is shadow. A perilous journey lies ahead of you. And, watch your feet. Goodbye." Instantaneously, the spectre disappeared and a hole formed on the ground they were standing on. Yewf, Koh and Jake then fell into the orifice and light seemed to be further and further away from them...

The Jungle of Temptations
Part III: Koh's Depression

This is one of the hardest topics I've come across. Indeed Koh was not easy to describe. But nevertheless, I managed to complete this chapter. Enjoy.

Deeper and Deeper he sinks into the static void
The brooding itself turns him paranoid.

A streak of lighting could be seen flashing across the night sky. For one moment, it seemed to brighten up the surroundings. However, as sudden as the bright light appeared, it faded. The Jungle was gloomy again. Unlike his comrades, Koh did not have any drastic change in his surroundings, all he had was a gloomy forest which resembled skull island from King Kong. The towering trees seemed to be bending towards Koh, mocking him. " The sky was almost covered up by all the ominous clouds and rain began to full. For some reason, the water that fell was icy cold. However, Koh relentlessly hovered over the damp ground as if nothing was happening. It was rather apparent that the lighting revenant was suffering from depression. The normally bright light in his eyes dimmed and he no longer looked like his old self. What was left of him were his armour and helm. Koh no longer moved with that mercurial pace; the lack of energy was noticeable even in his movement.
"Sigh, why is this happening? Why did balanar send his bats to inflict is damage upon them. They were innocent. And me, I could only stand there like a fool and watch this tragedy unfold.
Why didn't I help? With my abilities, I could surely annihilate Anub'seran. In addition, furion was there with me." complained Koh. The Revenant was blaming himself and as if emulating his feelings, the drizzle turned into a storm. The ominous clouds blackened, the leaves were shuffling hastily and the supposedly enceinte trunks were swaying side to side. So, he complied, saying. " Take me away! Take me away from this world. I've made one err too many I do not deserve this world, I do not deserve my friends. Take me away!" As if the wind was under the command of Koh, its strength amassed and soon after, the lighting Revenant was flying about aimlessly. As he was volitant, a hologram appeared. " Koh! The lighting Revenant! Thy chosen one, the one that holds they key to victory for either sides. Join me and you shall attain eternal glory. You can redeem your mistakes if you join me. Your mentor furion was a mindless idiot. The doors of the Scourge will always be open to you, we will accept you no matter what mistakes you've committed."boomed the hologram.

"what do I do? My mistakes, they are unpardonable. And I can't just leave my friends like that." argued Koh.

" We are not humans if You realise. And your friends, what have they gave you? The Scourge will provide whatever You need. Friendship, love, wisdom. You name it." said the Hologram.

"It is different. I gained much more than that. You will never understand. The Scourge can never provide that. You people have not even the slightest compassion with the exception of
Anub'seran." professed Koh

"You dare defy me?! Alright then prepare to perish from the face of this world!" hollered the ethereal being.

A figure appeared at the center of the hologram and teleported behind Koh. It started to shoot sharp staves at the Revenant before launching a poisoned dagger at him. This greatly reduced his chance of escape as his movement was non-existent. Koh zapped back but the grotesque creature did not stop the assaults. The chosen one was wearing out, his vision was blurring. For once in his life, fatigue seemed to have overcame him. Right at that crucial moment, Koh recalled about the camaraderie with his comrades; the happy times they enjoyed. The monster then moved its arms up and down as if performing a ritual. The air around appeared to condense before a huge wave materialised and rushed toward the eletric being.

'Is this the end of me? Will I succumb to this onset?" thought Koh. Faster than the naked eye could decipher, the Revenant vanished without a trace, expectedly, the huge wave hit a tree instead of Koh. The sheer impact uprooted it and the montrosity wallowed in her failure.

"Koh! Koh! " shouted Yewf as he shook the revenant hard. Due to the relentless succussing, Koh finally woke up. "What happened? I thought I lost You guys! What happened?" asked Koh. "Calm down Young Pandawan. We will explain everything to you in time. Calm down. " said Jake. And the Lighting Revenant acceded...
